California Humanities is proud to announce 10 new awards totaling $175K to support large-scale humanities programming through the Humanities for All Project Grant. This round of awarded projects ranges from topics pertaining to racial justice, economic inequality, and documenting COVID-19, to preserving the legacy of California arts and artists and strengthening intergenerational and intercultural relations.
The California Humanities’ Project Grant program, a branch of our Humanities for All grant line, offers funding (between $10,000 and $20,000) awarded twice a year for larger public humanities projects of up to two-years duration from the award date.
Humanities for All Project grantees reside in areas in and around San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, and the Sierra region.
Through the Humanities for All Quick Grant program, fifteen public humanities grantees will receive a total of $73,700 in funding for the winter 2021 round. Awarded projects provide responsive and creative methods to deliver programming to community members when traditional in-person programming is not possible.
The California Humanities’ Quick Grant program, a branch of our Humanities for All grant line, offers funding (between $1,000 and $5,000) for small-scale local public humanities activities that take place within a year, offering these grants three times annually.
Humanities for All Quick Grant awardees stem from areas in and around San Francisco, Monterey, Redding, San Diego, Menlo Park, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Bakersfield.
